NTU CAC Piano Ensemble Tickling the Ivories was held at Nanyang Auditorium, on 28 October 2022. Tickling the Ivories is an annual event of NTU CAC Piano Ensemble. The purpose of this event is to provide members with a platform to express their skills and creativity. This performance is published and is accessible to both the NTU community and members of the public.
Due to the COVID-19 situation of previous years, there had been no physical audience on-site for the past few years. Hence, this concert marks the first iteration of TTI where it is held with a physical audience, live, in the recent few years. This performance was recorded with the help of NTU CAC Media and IT (MIT), as well as CAC Concert Engineers (CE). The recording will be subsequently published on YouTube for the general public to view, as part of CAC PE’s continuous publicity & outreach efforts. This year is also the first where TTI was turned into a ticketed event. Despite the challenges to physical practices that COVID had brought, our members has maintained a high level of musical proficiency. This TTI also hosted the first large-scale collaboration with CAC PE and fellow CAC clubs, CAC SO and CAC SB, with a 15-member strong collaborative ensemble. The ensemble performed a total of 2 items, with the 2nd being a popular anime OST arranged by CAC PE’s Logistic Director, Wong Wei Lian.
